What are Weight Loss Injections?

By now, most of us are aware of the health consequences of obesity. At the same time, we know that losing weight can be very difficult, especially when physical or biological challenges get in the way. As part of our mission to help patients live happier, healthier lives, Prosperity Health is proud to offer weight loss injections for men and women who need some additional support to reach their ideal weight. Options for weight loss injections at our Azle, TX clinic include Lipo-MICC, which are lipotropic injections aimed at removing fatty deposits and boosting the metabolism, Wegovy® (branded and the generic compounded semaglutide), Mounjaro®, (and the generic compounded tirzepatide). These medications can help to control the appetite, reduce cravings, and keep you full longer. All of the choices can be effective nonsurgical options for enhancing your weight loss efforts. Contact our office today and schedule a consultation with family nurse practitioner Amber Larimore to discuss weight loss injections and other solutions we offer to help you create a more fit, active lifestyle. How Do Weight Loss Injections Work?

Every person's weight loss goals and health needs are different so Amber and our staff will first need to do a comprehensive examination of your medical history before recommending a specific weight loss injection treatment. Our standard Lipo-MICC injections combine lipotropic (fat-burning) compounds with Vitamin B-12 to give you more energy and help your body more efficiently deal with fatty deposits. These injections can be given up to twice each week and can be done at home with the proper care and instructions.

For those following a medically supervised weight loss program, we might prescribe Wegovy/ compounded semaglutide, or Mounjaro/ compounded tirzepatide injections. Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are designed to function similarly to a natural hormone called GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1), a peptide normally released by the stomach to give you a "full" feeling after eating. Tirzepatide works on a second receptor, making it slightly more effective for weight loss. When combined with other lifestyle changes, Semaglutide and Tirzepatide have been shown in clinical trials to boost weight loss compared to diet alone. Semaglutide and Tirzepatide injections are administered once per week and can be performed in the comfort of your own home.

Consultations can be done either virtually or in person. We can treat anyone in the state of Texas.
The (Ozempic/Wegovy) Semaglutide compound is offered starting at $250/5 weeks.

The (Mounjaro) Tirzepitide compound is offered starting at $650/8 weeks.

There is a $30 shipping fee for medications that are shipped directly to the patient's home. We are able to ship to anywhere in the state of Texas.

The pricing includes the cost of medication, consultation, and any follow up care while taking the medication. We do a follow up visit every 4 weeks. Visits can be in office or virtually.
The medication does have to be paid for in full at the time of ordering, and because of this being a prescription medication the pharmacy is not able to offer refunds on the medication if it is not tolerated well.
